Described in Prospectus as a “lofty brick structure”, erected at cost of £3000. Lower floor housed swimming-bath “with handsome iron pillars” and curtains for dressing rooms. Upper floor included The Studio -“lofty, spacious well-lit room for art students”, form rooms and MLC’s first science lab. In winter months the pool was boarded over and used for drill and basketball. Located where the north end of the Wood Wing now stands. It was closed in 1928 and demolished in 1939.
